Sifu Charles Wilson chosen as Special Advisor to the Romeoville High Football Team

Sifu Charles Wilson, one of the head instructors at Super Kicks Martial Arts Academy, has been chosen as a special advisor to the Romeoville High School Football team. Sifu Charles, who has 15 years teaching experience in the martial arts and 20 years experience in all forms of combat sports, will use martial arts based training to help improve the balance, strength and agility of the Romeoville players. Head Coach Jeff Kuna, looking to improve on last year’s 2-7 record, believes that the martial arts can help his team reach the next level. Impressed by the classes and lessons taught by Sifu Charles at his academy, Coach Kuna wants to transfer some of the techniques and strategies of the martial arts to the football field. Sifu Charles is more than happy to lend his expertise to the Romeoville team. “Coach Kuna is dedicated to his team and committed to winning” said Sifu Charles. “He understands the game of football and wants to give his team the best chance to be successful, on and off the field. I’m excited about this challenge and I look forward to the opportunity,”

Sifu (‘instructor’ in Chinese) Charles has been instructing and training individuals to improve the physical and athletic abilities over the past several years. This will be his first opportunity at the club level. Sifu Charles is confident he can help Romeoville improve. “The martial arts is a way of life. It is all about being better. Pushing yourself to higher and higher limits. When taught and implemented correctly, the martial arts can turn the average athlete into a machine. This is what we plan to do for the athletes at Romeoville High.”
